Zuhdi Jasser
is the son of Syrian political refugees from 1966. Raised in the Midwest, a devout American Muslim, Dr. Jasser is a physician, a former U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander, and President and founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD). AIFD is a Phoenix-based counter-Islamism think tank founded in the wake of 9-11. In 2015, he also co-founded the Muslim Reform Movement (MRM). Appointed by the U.S. Senate, he served as Vice-Chair of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) from 2012-16. Dr. Jasser is an internationally recognized expert on Islamism (political Islam). Zuhdi is the author of the book “A Battle for the Soul of Islam”. He hosts the podcast, Reform This!
