Tracey Heath

Tracey Heath is a registered nurse who has specialized in Palliative Aged Care for over twenty-five years. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing. (RMIT, Melbourne), Masters in Palliative Care Nursing (Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia) Grad.Dip. Oncology and Palliative Care Nursing (LaTrobe University Melbourne), Cert. Breast Cancer Nursing (LaTrobe University, Melbourne).

Tracey has always had an “inner knowing” that her life’s work was in caring for the dying. Her particular focus is on caring for the spirits of residents in end-of-life care. She currently works as a Palliative Care nurse consultant for Serenity Palliative Care service and is responsible for establishing Palliative Care programs and advanced directives for residents throughout facilities in Melbourne- Australia. She has had a variety of clinical experiences including hospice, community nursing, Residential Aged Care & Acute Care. 

In 2008 Tracey presented at the Antea World Wide Palliative Care Congress in Rome, Italy, and has returned to Antea to teach there several times. Tracey received the June Allen fellowship award from the Nurses’ Board of Victoria-Australia 2010 to travel to Hawaii to undertake further Dementia and Palliative Care studies.

Tracey has had many publications in palliative care nursing journals.
