Andrew Bragg joined the Business Council in August 2017 as Executive Director, Members.
Andrew started his career as an accountant with Ernst & Young and became a senior executive in the financial services industry and is a former acting federal director of the Liberal Party of Australia.
As Director of Policy & Global Markets at the Financial Services Council, Andrew established two key pieces of industry self-regulation: a superannuation governance standard and the Trowbridge Review & the inaugural Life Insurance Consumer Code of Practice.
He regularly contributes for The Australian Financial Review, The Daily Telegraph, The Australian and The Guardian and appears on the ABC, Sky News and Sky News Business.
His 2017 short book Fit for Service (Connor Court) is an acclaimed framework for 21st century trade policy for Australia. Its extracts appeared in The Australian Financial Review and was featured on Sky News, Radio 2GB and Quadrant.
